CV Job Matcher ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Chrome extension.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
All data processing happens locally in your browser:
- CV Data: Your CV text is stored locally in Chrome's storage on your device. It never leaves your browser.
- Job Analysis Results: Match scores, skill comparisons, and scan history are stored locally on your device.
- Extension Settings: Your preferences (job titles, locations, scan intervals) are stored locally.
Data Processing
Our AI matching is performed entirely in your browser using local machine learning models. Your CV and job descriptions are:
- Never sent to our servers
- Never shared with third parties
- Never used for training AI models
- Processed exclusively on your device
Third-Party Services
The extension interacts with:
- LinkedIn: The extension reads publicly available job listing data from LinkedIn pages you visit. We do not access your LinkedIn account or private data.
- ntfy.sh (Optional): If you enable push notifications, alerts are sent via ntfy.sh to your self-selected channel. We do not control or store data on ntfy.sh servers.
- Paddle (Payments): If you purchase a license, payment is processed by Paddle. We receive only your email and license key - no payment details.
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally:
- Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data
- You can clear data anytime via Chrome settings
- Data synced via Chrome Sync follows Google's policies
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: View your data in the extension's settings
- Delete: Clear your CV and history from the extension
- Export: Copy your data from Chrome's storage
Children's Privacy
Our extension is not intended for users under 16 years of age.
